As part of an African and Jewish household, my life was filled with music growing up. Every Shabbat, birthday, or holiday, the music would blast and we would dance around the house all night. My parents are both lovers and supporters of the arts and from a young age, I would spend hours upon hours watching movies and TV, listening to albums, and going to shows. So naturally, it was no surprise when I told my parents I wanted to perform in a venue bigger than our basement. |
My first chance came at age eleven, when I starred as Child #42 in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at The Fabulous Fox Theatre in downtown Atlanta, where I grew up. The minute I stepped onto the stage in that gorgeous theatre in front of an audience of 4,600 people, I knew that this was it. Once I got to high school, I knew that I wanted to pursue musical theatre in college, and there was only one college I had in mind - New York University in New York City, the city of my birth, my father's hometown, and the place that I had been itching to get back to ever since my family moved to Atlanta when I was two.

I came to New York City to study theatre at the New Studio on Broadway in the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU, graduating in 2014. During my time at NYU, I had the privilege and honor to work with some of the world's best artists in theatre, film, and TV. I have been fortunate enough to perform at theaters and in venues regionally and on and off-Broadway such as the Lucille Lortel Theatre, the Paper Mill Playhouse, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene, the Theatre at St. Clement's, Two River Theater, Joe's Pub, 54 Below, Yankee Stadium, Birdland, The O'Neill Theater Center, The Beacon Theatre, Madison Square Garden, Town Hall, The Minskoff Theatre, Lincoln Center, The Delacorte Theater, and Radio City Music Hall, and I have begun to dip into the TV/Film world. I made my Broadway debut in the original cast of the musical Mr. Saturday Night, starring Billy Crystal. In addition to performing, I write songs and enjoy creating art in many different capacities. I am a fierce advocate for equity, justice, and liberated joy. It is an honor and privilege to do what I love!
